Hello I am Betsy Sanders. I have owned and operated Walnut Grove since June of 1996. The kennel is convenient to Routes 422 and 28 also 66 and 268. We specialize in the best care for your pet. We interact with the dogs daily by feeding, walking, playtime, and loving them. I opened my kennel to give your pet the type of care I would want for my own pets.
The kennel is heated and air conditioned, sanitized daily and replacing bedding as needed. The kennel is open year round by appointment. We also offer holiday boarding and Sunday pickup by special hours. Closed Wednesday and Saturday after 11:00AM. We would love to take the worry out of leaving your pet.
We feed Pedigree dog food or your own feed as requested. We accept all ages from puppy to geriatric.
We can also administer med's when needed. We require all shots are up to date including rabies vaccine, the inoculation for kennel cough, and a stool check with a negative reading. This is done at your vet and you give a copy to me for our files when dropping off your pets. Payment accepted in the form of check or cash. There is a $30.00 fee for returned checks.
Daily fee is $12.00, no charge if dropped off after 7:00PM or picked up between 10:00 and 11:00 AM. There is a $2.00 charge per day for administering med's.
I also run group training classes year round in Basic Obedience. Instructing you on how to have a well rounded pet for your home as well as taking them in public with you. Training all ages and breeds of dogs.
We also meet once a month for advanced work with the dogs in The H.A.N.K. Club (Help A Neighbors K-9). I started the club in 2005 in memory of my first Labrador HANK. He helped me financially by studding him and also litters with Elsa one of my females to begin my business. This is one of the first dog clubs started in Armstrong County in many years. Our attendance is consistent and everyone enjoys being outside with their dogs for an overall enjoyable atmosphere for both owner and pet.
We also offer dog grooming at THE BONE-A-FIDE BOUTIQUE at Walnut Grove. My daughter Jonica Sanders is the owner. She is taking new clients as of August 2010.
I also raise and breed Labrador Retrievers. Breeding FOX RED Labradors as well as YELLOW'S. LOOK FOR MY NEW PUPPIES IN 2011. My breeding stock is of the highest quality. I only breed to standard with all health clearances. Taking reservations for litters now.
